Just Add Ink #236 - The Undefined Boxer

Hi Bloggers! Welcome Back!

If you are here for the first time you are in for a treat! I have been hanging onto this post for a while waiting for the next INKspired blog hop to launch as my Undefined Boxer range was part of it and I didn't want to spoil the surprise! :)

An added bonus is that this week's Just Add Ink Challenge is an Inspiration Challenge where you can pick elements from the pictures to inspire your creation! I picked the flowers and the Navy blues and Greens for my entry :)

I have been creating a few new stamps with the
SU Undefined Stamp Carving Kit
and having more and more fun with it!

What I love about the kit is that you can create any stamp you can think of, which gives your cards an even more personal touch!

This week was about refining my design.
The Boxer stamp hasn't changed... The only thing I have been doing different is her colours! This one is more true to my Coco's colours
(3 white paws and a white chest)

The first Dog Bone & Paws stamp
were a little too big... they were bugging me!
They looked more suited to a Dinosaur range!
So I reduced their size to fit in and the new ones are much MUCH better!

I cased a pop up box card to suit my Boxer Stamp and I love how it turned out!

I wanted to show off the stamps so I kept it simple and only added a few pieces in it.

I used the 'Oh Happy Day' sentiment stamp out of the Hostess 'Hello Love' stamp set
and I think it suits the card well! Coz what woofer wouldn't be happy with a garden full of dog bones!

I made sure too that all the pop up pieces fitted when flattened inside a standard envelope ;)

Next up is the cute 'Slide card' below that my
DD absolutely LOVED!

To make it slide I mounted the card with dimensionals, cut out the desired 'slide' section and used a coin underneath to mount the slider pieces to... which also intrigued my DD who wondered how I got the coins in there :)

Again I used the Hostess 'Hello Love' Stamp set for the sentiment and clouds.

Thanks so much for stopping by again! Feel free to leave a comment below if you like my cards :)

Tune in again soon!

Until next time :)

INKspired Artists Blog Hop - Sketch 3

Welcome back to another INKspired Artists Blog hop...

I'm sure by now you have been here before and have travelled around the last Blog hop...
If not Welcome newcomers! You would have hopped in from Janelle Taylor's Sketch 3 creation!

Yes!! This is Sketch #3 already and each fortnight I am excited to get going and come up with the next sketch creation!

This is Sketch 3
And this is my creation!!
The past few weeks I have been playing with the Undefined Stamp Carving Kit and can I say I am hooked! My first attempts where of Kombi's for the hubby for Father's Day
(he is quiet obsessed... our whole family is!!)
I love these stamps! I am having so much fun making cards out of them!

Once the kids found out they could make requests that's when I started to get nervous... What are they going to ask for?!?!
DS requested 'Minecraft Steve' :/ OK!
Well that was a hit!! Then DD requested a kitten...  She loves cats especially ours.
My DD has a special connection with our kitty... Gidget lets her carry her around the house like a ragdoll!! Don't know how she hasn't got more battle scars... She definitely has 9 LIVES!
The kitty stamp was a bit more challenging but somehow the Undefined Stamps always seem to work out no matter if they have little mistakes!

So onto something that I would like to make!
I love boxers and I love my Coco!
We have had many dramas with our Coco but we have finally found the balance and she is very happy with the new arrangements in our household :)

Boxers have a look that only a Mother could love, I know :)
But there is no denying they are cute!

So my inspiration for this card is...

THE UNDEFINED BOXER!

This is our Coco Girl

I created a series of Stamps
for
The Undefined Boxer
The Boxer Stamp
The Paws Stamp
The Dog Bone Stamp
and
The sentiment
Dog gone it... I missed you! Stamp

As much as I love to create cards all the time (its 'Me' time) it is different therapy at the moment,
I have become a night owl due to the fact the hubby is away and I miss him so much I cannot sleep :(
I feel like when he returns I will be excited as a woofer bouncing around like a loon excited
to see him!
Oh dear I think I just called myself a dog! lol

I hope you enjoyed my card this week!
It has been made with love!
If you haven't tried the
Undefined Stamp Carving Kit
can I suggest you add it to your next order!
You will LOVE it!!

Your next destination blog hop is my bestie
Louise Sharp!
Are you excited?!?! I know I am!
This is SUCH a privilege :)
Lou Lou is a Superstar!

One thing I LOVE about these blog hops is even all of us do not know what the others have created with the Sketches and I cannot wait to see what her creation is!!

Until next time... same blog time, same blog place... just a different sketch :P

Just Add Ink #235 - Colour Challenge

Hi Bloggers, Welcome back!

I've been a bit quiet of late... I'm working on a few little projects that I cannot wait to show you but they have to wait until next Sunday for the next INKspired Artists Blog Hop :)

So this week I am joining the
Just Add Ink #235 - Colour Challenge

The colours were a bit challenging this week... there were a few combos that didn't make the cut and I was limited by the CS I had too!

So I have been casing a few pop up boxes on YouTube and found a cute one from
'Stamping with Sandi' that I found really helpful as I was doing it all wrong!! She shows you how to place all the pieces in the right spots so they still fit in an envelope when flat...
Kind of important to know :)

Here is my attempt at a pop up box and this week's challenge entry :)

I used the Bright and Beautiful Stars stamp set along with the Itty Bitty Accents punch set for the pop ups and I made up the gift boxes with the left over scrap pieces. The Joy thinlit is from the Expressions Thinlit dies. I wanted to add a ribbon 'wrapping' the card box so I added it to the bottom around the outside and layered underneath the Honeycomb embossed Soft Sky CS.

Thanks for stopping by again!

Until next time!

INKspired Artist Blog Hop - Sketch 2

Welcome!!

If you are following my blog and you have just arrived at another BLOG HOP :)
Welcome back!!

This is INKspired Artist Blog Hop #2!!

You may have been to our first blog hop 2 weeks ago... Which was a big hit and we are all so excited you all dropped in, commented on our creations and enjoyed the ride!

You may have hopped in from Janelle's blog, it amazes me what all the others have come up with! So many great ideas to take away to create you own!

This is Sketch 2...

And this is my creation :)

I couldn't resist trying out the Wondrous Wreath stamp set... I've been practising layering the the stamps which can be a bit tricky but once you get the hang of the positions it's such a fun set to use...

I love the finished result!

In my first attempt I grabbed what would be the bottom layer (the one with the most leaves) and started stamping from the bottom up :/
but found I kept on missing when I tried to layer the second layer which was the darker colour... So I started with the second layer first and then the bottom layer and it worked out much better!
So much easier to line up :)

I originally started with the traditional
greens and reds
for this Christmas themed card but got drawn to the Blackberry Bliss and Lost Lagoon combo which I think is very elegant!
The berries and bow were embossed with Silver glitter to add a little sparkle!

I had so much fun with this Wondrous Wreath stamp set I kept going and created this fold card to complement the card set.

I love this card!
I popped out the wreath with some clear strips of window sheeting to make it appear to float off the card.

Next up is Lisa Eaton
Lisa has a gift of WOWING us every time she makes a card... She is very talented :)
Click on the 'Next blog' button below and we will see you again in a fortnight for Sketch 3!!

I hope you enjoyed my creation!
Please comment below it means a lot that you stopped by!!

Until next time :)
