INKspired Artists Blog Hop #INK030 - Hey Girl

Welcome to another INKspired Artists blog hop! This is the 30th one!!
Doesn't seem like that long ago that we started this hop!
Again this week you would have hop in from Maree McIntosh's blog or if you are starting from here make sure you check out all the card in this hop! I know I always enjoy the hop around to see what everyone has created with the sketches :)

Well it is officially the silly season but its also birthday season!! We have the next couple of weekends booked out with kids parties!! So I have started on one for next weekend so I am not rushing on the day of the party to make one lol :)

Here is this week's sketch. #INK030

With 3 girls parties coming up and only 2 boys parties, I was feeling inspired to do a girl's card first so I finally used my Hey Girl stamp set
Its fun and bright card for one of Kija's school friend Zoe.

The dress was stamped on Cherry on Top DSP and was fussy cut. The girl and the balloons were watercolured with the Stampin Write markers and a aqua painter. Layered on some Bermuda Bay DSP and sequin ribbon and you have a cute girls birthday card that can be personalised by colouring the little girl to resemble the person it is for :)

Believe it or not but this is the first time I have used the sequin ribbon! Don't know if I nailed it but I think it turned out ok?

Thanks for stopping by :) Remember to click below and hop on over to the fabulous (she pays me to say that :-P just kidding)
You will not want to miss what she has created!

Until next time

INKspired Blog Hop #INK029 - My Dear Grandma

Hi Bloggers

If you're a new hopper or you're back again, Welcome :)
You have just hopped in from Maree McIntosh.

Now I will get right into the card I made today... I should say one of MANY cards today!! I don't know why I had such a hard time with this layout?!?! My craftroom is a DISASTER now :(

The sketch looks pretty simply RIGHT?!?! I have no idea why it had me in such a pickle???

Maybe the problem lies in who the card is for??? As this card is for a very special person in my life... My Grandma... and her card needed to be special!
She might think its not true but she has a very special place in my heart and even though I don't talk to her every day or some times not every week I think about her all the time. When we talk on the phone I don't want to be at work with distractions around or in my car with the kids chatting in the background... I want to be at home on the lounge with a cuppa in my hand and chatting to her for as long as I like with no worries, but life as I know it right now is complete CHAOS :(

So today is my Grandma's 81st Birthday! 81 years young :)
To celebrate I wanted to make her a card that was bold like she is, bright coz she still has her wits about her ;) and it had to be original coz she definitely one of a kind!

To my Dear Grandma
Happy Birthday!
You may think that I don't have time for you in my life but my life wouldn't be the same without you.
I love you
xo

Next you are hopping to Louise Sharp who is down at the SU On Stage in Melbourne! I hope she and her 'Flock' lol as she calls them are having a great time!

Until next time
Happy hopping :)

INKspired Blog Hop #INK028 - Shaker Card

Hi Bloggers!!

Hope you have all been busy creating! If you have just arrived to check out what I have created I hope this week's one spikes your creativity! If you have been hopping around the blog hop... you would have hopped in from Maree McIntosh's blog so you are in the right place :)

I have been wanting to create a shaker card for a while now and this week's sketch was going to work perfectly!

And this is my Christmas Shaker Card

To create the windows I needed to use the grid paper to map out the layout to get it perfect. Once I had the templete done all I needed to do was place that over the cardstock and place the framelit in the right position on the templete and voila!!

One of my latest additions to my inventory is the Sleigh Ride Edgelit Dies and I was inspired to use these after a card class I recently attended. I layered with Night of Navy, Wild Wasabi and Cherry Cobbler CS for the Xmas theme.
I edged the top of the trees, grass and houses with 2-Way glue and sprinkled the Dazzling Diamond glitter on it so it looked like snow.

I then added the DD glitter for the snow (I may have gone a little overboard with the DD glitter... its now more like a blizzard then a light dusting lol)

Hope you like my attempt at a shaker card!!
It looks hard but the layout is really simple and if you plan it out beforehand it goes together quickly!!

That's it from me continue to hop around bloggers coz next up is Barbara Williams!
Happy hopping!

Until Next time xo
