INKspired Blog Hop - Bundled Baby

A New Addition - Bundled Baby

Hi Bloggers!

Welcome back to the 14th INKspired Artists Bog Hop!

This week you would have hopped in from Cherie Davies!
We had a challenging sketch this hop! I had an idea of what I wanted to do but really struggled to get it to look right... So there were lots of different colour combinations that were left on the 'craft room floor'

Here is Sketch 14

And this is my creation!

This hop instead of making a card I created a framed keepsake for our latest addition to the Piirlaid clan, my new Niece...
Jessica Margaret Piirlaid

I initially set out to make a card but as I progressed I had the idea to make something that could be used in her room.

As I created the 'recipe' for this I realised just how much went into making this! Many layers, many techniques, lots of product, fussy cutting etc!
I am exhausted just thinking about it!

Here is just a snippet of what I did...

Colour combination - Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride and Basic Black.
The 'bundled baby' was stamped on watercolour paper with StazOn and was coloured using the stampin' write markers and blender pens... This way of colouring is new to me as I am used to my Blendies (which are now discontinued) So this is my first attempt at colouring this way!

The background 'Irresistibly yours Speciality DSP' is from the Sale-a-brations freebies and was sponged with Blushing bride.

I layered the banners, the 'J' and the Sweetheart punch with Blushing Bride and Melon mambo to create a shadowed effect to make the colours pop out more!

I love the end result and I hope Jessica will too!

I also added my latest Undefined stamp to sign the back of this keepsake :)
What's a better way to sign then with your own personalised family portrait!
The Undefined Piirlaid's!

Next up is the the fabulous Lisa Eaton! I love seeing what she has created each hop! I am sure she will impress this round too!

Until next time... Happy Hopping!!
